Issuing Body in Finland and in Sweden

Grexel Systems Ltd. is the issuing body for EECS (European Energy Cerificate System) certificates in Finland and Sweden after the national transmission systems operators, Fingrid and Svenska Kraftnät, withdrawed from issuing in March 2006.

Grexel’s issuing process is based on electronic guarantee of origin for renewable energy (GoO), which, in turn, is issued by the national authorities. Certificates that rely on Guarantee of Origin a standard set by the EU directive, provide a simple and cost effective way to implement a high quality green certificate trading scheme that is available also to smaller green energy producers.
