GECCO – Grexel Environmental Commodity Clearing Office

January, 2015
In Q1 2015 Grexel will launch a banking service for environmental commodities. In practice, it means that account holders can deposit, withdraw, trade and retire different kinds of tradable environmental products in the same registry. Environmental products include various kinds of certificates, allowances, green credits and tags according to each commodity scheme’s specific rules.
Grexel Environmental Commodity Clearing Office registry, GECCO, will provide a common, secure and affordable space for Issuing Bodies, Account Holders and scheme authorities to manage their environmental assets. Today, tradable environmental instruments are deposited and managed in different registries. The new service will enable account holders to eventually keep and transact them in one common system and will provide the external connections to other registries when needed. For that to happen, Grexel seeks to agree with the relevant issuing bodies and Scheme authorities regarding holding of the commodities in GECCO.

How to view certificates in your CMO.grexel account

January, 2015
This might sound as the most trivial of questions for CMO.grexel users. However, when dealing with a high volume of certificates in a single account, searching for all certificates and viewing all available bundles can be mistaken as an annoying task. Well, it doesn’t need to be like that.

In Search Certificates menu, users have the two options to execute the search. They can either simply fill the search criteria and click “search”, or they can select Show as Reportcheck box on the search page and then click “search”. This functionality will bring your search results in a tidy report form, i.e., your certificates (no matter if we are talking about 10 or 10 thousand bundles) will be organized in a grid view and ready to export to excel and pdf. Also, with Show as Report search, results can be viewed by bundle, by PD or by account.
