The first iteration of the Grexel's new generation registry platform, codenamed Kantele after traditional Finnish musical instrument, just came out from the workshop. Grexel have been designing and implementing the Kantele platform for more than a year. The first iteration mainly consists of the core of the system facilitating certificate banking and transaction processing. This release of the system is Grexel internal and it will not be deployed in production use. The second iteration, in turn, will be used in production and it will replace at least one of the current registries.
The key features of the Kantele framework are:
- Advanced certificate & plant search and management
- Better reports using industry standard reporting tools
- Configurable and automated workflows
- Multi level role-based security model
- State of the art technology based on industry standard platform technologies
- Built-in collaboration tools
"The Kantele-platform is built for the future and will eventually replace all our registries. IT is a major step forward and will be the standard bearer of green commodity registries.", says Vesa Hyrskylahti, product champion at Grexel.
