German EECS account holders and accounts together with certificates and users  were successfully migrated to GrexCMO system. Trading in the new registry started 1st December 2008. Before German account holders moved in, the GrexCMO system operated by Grexel was already the home of Finnish and Swedish EECS accounts. The sister registry, RECSCMO, also operated by Grexel, hosts Danish, Norwegian and Slovenian EECS certificates.

Before moving in to Grexel's system, the German EECS accounts resided in the LogActiv system managed by Cambell Carr Ltd. "The reason for selecting Grexel as the new CMO for Germany is that many German EECS account holders are already familiar with Grexel registries. Grexel also provides the most comprehensive connections to other central registries.", says Dominik Seebach, responsible representative of Öko-Institut e.V., the EECS issuing body in Germany.
